Betsy: Roadside’s
newest musical tells the compelling story of a woman forced by poverty
and trickery to migrate to American from Ireland, and the fate of
her descendants. The play’s music explores the intersection
of jazz and bluegrass and how the two musical traditions communicate
and continue to shape an American cultural identity. A collaboration
with Steinway Artist Beegie Adair.

original songs, ranging in style from Appalachian gospel to southern
soul, accompanied by a plainspoken narrative about life, love, and
home.
Mountain Tales and Music:
an energetic performance of traditional tales and songs of the Appalachian
Mountains; fun for all ages.

the Seasons, a collaboration with traditional Native
